Situated in the southern area of Bucharest, Vulcan Value Centre was built on the ex-Vulcan Plant, from which the name was borrowed. Considering the site’s geometry, our solution was to build three narrow buildings which surround a large central parking lot. In this way, using the “strip mall” typology, we created bigger and more flexible retail spaces with direct access from outside. All three buildings are conceived to have a single storey. Exterior finishes were chosen according to our client’s requirements and according to the necessities of the architectural program. The main front exterior finish is made of composite material panels mounted on a secondary metal structure and insulated panels.
